If I could fly

Stuck on the ground with nothing to do,
Alone with my thoughts, nothing new!

Wish there was something more I could see,
better than what’s in front of me!

Hearing the birds, chirping away,
How lucky they are, what can I say!

If I had one wish, I’d fly away,
never to be seen again!

If I could fly,
I’d go where I wanted to go!
If I could fly,
This sadness I feel, I would never know!

I’D zoom across the sky,
no one could stop me If I could fly!

Walking alone, down the lonely street,
Wish i could hear more than my lonely heartbeat.
But if I had one wish, I’d fly away,
From all that’s hurting me.

What are the birds talking about, when they sing?
I’d be so happy, if I had wings!

I’d be apart of a beautiful choir,
Can’t imagine the joy that would bring.

If i could fly, I’d go where I want to go.
If I could fly, the sadness in my heart, away it would go!

I’d zoom across the sky,
No one could stop me,
If I could fly!

By Beatriz Loeza

I am a blind mother of two boys and I live in Sacramento, California. I also have two cats, a beautiful dog and an amazing SO. I cannot wait for him to be with me, forever. His name is Hanif. He will be moving from South Africa to live with me and to start a new life together. I struggle sometimes with depression but, I am grateful for what I have. I hope to update this site regularly. Thanks for reading.
