On July first, 2018, I was looking for a new app on my iPhone purely out of boredom. I had already found a platform called RS Games, but people on there were getting creepy.
When I found Dice World, I was still very new to dice games, and the only one I really knew how to play was Pig.
Pig is a very easy game, with only one die. The point of the game is to get 100 points first, so you basically just keep rolling the die.
If you get 1 on the die, you pig out, and the app makes a pig squeal noise.
If you are playing a bonus game, you get another chance to keep rolling.
Anyway that is the game I started with, and frankly, I was not good at that game either. When one levels up, the person gets bonus gold, now called bonus rolls. Every few levels, one unlocks new characters to play against, as well as new kinds of dice. There are also ranks. Examples include Dice Newby, and Dice rookie.
I am on level 63, almost to level 64. I am ranked as Dice Psycho.
When I first started playing on this app, my older son caught wind of what I was doing and wanted to play as well.
He is so smart, he was actually the one who taught me how to play Farkle. In that game, you have 6 dice. You roll and keep any 1’s or 5’s. The 1’s are worth 100 points and the 5’s are worth 50. If you roll three 1’s you get 1000 points. Four 1’s give you 2000 points. You can also roll pairs, and straits. It’s a very fun game, and personally I think it’s awesome that I was able to learn from my 8 year old at the time.
There are 6 games, although one can only play 4 of those games with the computer. The games are Pig, Farkle, Threes, 1-4-24, Balut, and Yahtzee.
Dice World has found its way into my daily routine, which is great, I win 5 bonus rolls just for playing one game. One can even win bonus rolls for playing in a tournament. One can even win up to 300 bonus rolls for ranking in first place in tournaments. You can even watch videos for bonus rolls. So, you guessed it, I am a big fan of Dice World.
